I then realized I still had the installer for the version of the software from 2018 in the Downloads directory. I compared the software properties on each PC and realized they were not the same. I realized this because I happen to have 2 pcs with Windows 10 installed and they each have a Utechsmart Venus mouse. At some point since 2018, the software was updated and these bugs were introduced. Turns out the problem for me was not Windows 10 but the software itself. I was experiencing the exact problem you're describing after reinstalling Windows 10 and downloading the Utechsmart Venus drivers/software from their website. Has anyone had any experience with this mouse or knows how to solve the issue with the software? I cannot get the software to recognise the mouse when applying settings, i.e. ![]() It may be down to a problem with it being a fairly old mouse and the compatability issues with Windows 10. The mouse mechanically works, however I have encountered a problem that I've seen many others have had with this mouse, but no real clarification.
